What a really cool shopping center. I was at Terrapin Adventures for a leadership training. I felt the staff were attentive and focused on our group. The dining area served very yummy food. I didn’t get to explore all the shops.
Very cool 1800s mill that has been converted into small boutique mall that is very unique. A lot of artisin shops and workshops that aren't really storefronts in the south side while the north side has two-level walking mezzanine mall.
Also a large restaurant bar in the middle and an antiques shop. A. Mid-size, old fashioned ballroom for weddings and such as well as outdoor deck area. And out the north side overlooking the river and the ruins there is a ropes course.
In the past would have given this five stars, but it is the kind of old hat once you've been there 20 times. And since the pandemic, not all of their storefronts are occupied. But if you've never been, strongly recommend you check it out.
Start with coffee, cruise through shops, etc. Buy books; drool over antiques; lunch at Dive Bar. Stop at the bakery for apple strudel...get pastry crust all over your car on the way home.
I have personally been visiting this place since 1978 and what a transformation although it's stay true to its form. This is a getaway place to visit at any given time of the year winter spring summer or fall. It is complementary of so many great things. Call simply share the pictures and I always take my friends from out of state to this location for a visit and it is not likely to stop until my death or my car is no longer to be operated by me. 😲🤣
